Default Package availability of '21s is wacked!

Canadian here. Went in today to build out a '21 XLT SCREW 4x4 157". Can't get heated seats (302A pkg) with the heavy payload package. HUH!? Can't get 18" wheels with Max Tow, but they are standard with HDPP? WHAT!? Apparently there are even colors you can't get if you want power running boards. Sheesh.

So is this just a COVID related issue, or is it permanent?

Those restrictions were on the last generation trucks too. Nothing new.

HDPP and 302A don't make any sense to me. As said before, it's nothing new but it still doesn't make any sense.

Also on Canada site...yes its worse this time around...also tried building truck...can't get 3.55 with a 5.0???

Everytime I try to build my truck I get kicked out of the options package and dumped back into a 501a?? WTF?

Im waiting for the next refresh anyway...maybe they'll get rid of the pretty purple piping on the seats.

I've heard the multiple plant production mentioned before as the limitation.

The only justification on this I've seen speculated is so that they do not cannibalize sales of the superduty that by default provides higher payload. So HDPP is only on XL/XLT up to 301A.

I guarantee (from the many long threads about folks disappointed in powerboost payloads on upper trims) that if they offered HDPP on powerboost, so many of us would have ordered it so we can tow our rigs and dry camp with electricity. And until superduty adds 12" screen and propower, you get more features on the F150 powerboost now (just sad payloads). We can only dream of a powerboost with an HDPP frame and 4800# axle...

Same here made a thread in the racing forum.
Only 3 options with the Coyote.
3.31 in non slip or with e lock or 3.73 with e lock

No 3.55

I also found issue with extended boards not available in Space White only Oxford White. Like mentioned it depends on where its built.
So I'm planning on 3.73 Space White order and ordering extended boards through parts department. LOL Sell shorties cheap here with local pickup.

Is the HDPP more than an axle and springs? How hard would it be to put the HDPP equipment on a non-HDPP truck?
