OZ Tuning
I no most people have the Livernois tune on here. I was checking out the OZ Tuning and they say you only need one tune. You don’t have switch between performance, towing or normal. Unless I am wrong with the Livernois tune you have to retune every time you want to change. The OZ tune is $100 more but not having to retune every time you want to change between performance and say towing is real plus. Anyone here with the OZ tune?

I have had the Omega, and now the OmegaX tune on my 2020. The OmegaX is basically an updated version of the Omega, focusing more on transmission performance. It will keep the engine in a better rpm range for performance, while, AFAIK, the engine tune like on the old Omega. I've run from 87-93 octane, and straight E85, tested, with zero complaints.
On both tunes, trans uses all gears up and down, like you'd expect, with no goofy gear skipping like stock. The X gives you a little less bang into gear when normally accelerating holding gears a bit longer.
The only draw back, to some, would be I have to be at 60mph before it will go into 10th, but that's easily taken care of by shifting your mode selector to snow/slippery. I've found with my 3:73 gears, I can get it into 10th as low as 45 mph.
Shift it into Sport mode and this thing really shines.
As far as towing, I don't know, maybe someone else can comment on that.
The way I use my truck, grocery getting, pleasure driving and mall crawling, it's been my favorite tune. I've had 5*, and MPT/PRX on both 5.0 and 3.5, so I do have some experience wiyth them.

Thanks for the feedback. I also have 3:73 GEARES. So you are saying in normal mode it won't go into 10th until 60? I was hoping it would just be like normal mode stock except for no CD and more power. Did you happen to try ECO mode? Thanks

I'll leave it in normal mode usually, but when out in a 55 mph zone or less, I'll throw it in Snow/slippery.
CD? Not sure what you mean.

It's not a big deal at all.
I am tuned by Oz (not Omega) and from my own experiences with him, he doesn't just do cookie cutter one size fits all tunes. He really tailors it to your application and gets feedback from you on what you like, or don't like and he makes the necessary adjustments needed.
Cylinder deactivation 4 cylinder mode.

I have the OZ tune in my 21 and my experience is different from johnday in BFE but they are different tunes for 21 and up. In normal mode it will still skip shift although the shifts are much firmer. I don't believe CD is disabled but I'm not sure, honestly I couldn't tell when it kicked in before the tune. I haven't noticed it staying in gear much longer than before in normal mode under normal easy acceleration. The more you get on the accelerator the more aggressive it gets but under light acceleration its close to stock and shifts out pretty quick, it will get to 10th gear way before 60mph. There are times under light acceleration where I think it could hold a gear a little longer. In sport mode its very aggressive. I run 93 most of the time and the difference in power is quite noticeable. I have been very happy with the tune.

@FI300 Ya, it may be the difference between our two generations. Then again, do you have the Omega, or the newer OmegaX? I have both, and the non X tune is as you say, except for the skipping gears.
IMO, if I had a 14th gen, I think I'd like that CD disabled, but I don't know enough about it.
