The last part of your statement is confusing me a little. Have they been telling you that you have a build date, and then that it has been moving due to running out of work surface for that date?

If your truck has truly been assigned a build week/date, it won't change. Ask for you serial number, if they can't provide a VIN you are being mislead on your build date.

 

I have a VIN. My original build date was scheduled for 12/21 then it got pushed to 1/18 and now its been at 1/11 for the last 3 weeks. There mustve been reasons for the build date being moved around so much.

 

You ordered a redesigned vehicle during a launch that occurred while a pandemic had a crippling effect on some suppliers ability to make new parts. I'd say your build date didn't move around enough to cause that much concern.

 

Just got an email from my dealer. My build date got moved up and was in production as of 1/4

Last week of July with the dealer. Dealer placed 2 duplicate orders 1 as retail and 1 as dealer and I would buy whichever arrives first. The one being built now is the dealer order. the retail order still doesnt have a build date (as of before christmas. Havent asked about it since)

 

Holy slow, do they sell 7 trucks a month or something? No allocations available?

 

Well the July date was just the date the dealer took my order. The order didnt get into the Ford system until they opened the order bank. I got my VIN last week of Oct.
