Ordering Priority from Granger
In response to Granger, I ordered from Chip and thought it was easy and straightforward! Here's my order for reference. Ordered 3/23 and received confirmation from Ford immediately. Now it's in Ford's hands.... May the odds be ever in my favom!
I haven't seen someone mention this anywhere but did Granger or Ford automatically send you the VIN? I only placed my order earlier this week and don't want to be a nuisance since it will be a few months anyway. I'm just looking around at warranty plans, maintenance plans, mud flaps, bed covers and trying to figure out what other items I may add. Having a VIN makes day dreaming a bit easier.
Have you been notified that your truck has been delivered to Granger? I was in the same boat as you, and yesterday afternoon was told by Ford that it was delivered to the dealership on 3/23. I have not been able to get a response from anyone to verify.
I got my order confirmation from Ford three hours after signing the paperwork. Granger seems to be the embodiment of the ideal car buying experience. No games, no bull****, no haggling. Competitive offer right off the bat and we’re doing paperwork.
Grainger is straight forward. Good people and did not play any games.
Ordered my truck on 10/6/21 and it arrived on 1/7/22. Xl super cab 5.0 STX FX4 36 gallon tank and the upgrade electrical, 302 I believe. Not sure if the number.
Never received any communication directly from Ford. Forgot some of the details but the tracker system was partial working, got my vin off of it.
I agree that once order is placed dealer can’t do much, it’s what ford picks up to build. I suspect higher volume dealers might get your truck built faster but can’t prove that.
Grainger is busy. Chips phone was burning up with customers when he picked us up at the airport

My Granger experience was a good one. I ordered my 22 502A back in November and I picked it up on 14 February. I got the normal status updates from Ford via email (and on my own checking the tracker). My truck was built in KC and it shipped/arrived Granger the same day (only ~3 hours from Granger). I think my priority was a 19.

I couldn't find anyone in my home state that would do anything but MSRP. The only one that said different was just screwing around with me.
You all are pretty great giving confidence in Granger. If I get my truck in only 4 months I'll be pretty impressed. If i get it by the fall I'll still be happy. I put in for a Limited, powerboost, max recline seats with the work surface. We left off the bed liner to speed delivery but I don't know what else on the Limited will hold it up.

Granger has a VERY impressive 4.9 out of 5.0 in Google Reviews, and this is unheard of, especially for a car dealership! Likewise, I could not get $1k below MSRP at where I am, this one is roughly 9% below MSRP, it's actually 3% below invoice but some people don't understand the difference between MSRP and invoice so I just say 9% below MSRP.
To be honest with you, I don't think you're going to get yours in four months. I ordered a loaded Lariat PowerBoost with so many options it costs more than a Limited and I only got acknowledgement from Ford a day after ordering from Granger. The China lockdown, the border delays between Canada and EE.UU., and the chip shortage.. I don't expect mine until October and it probably will be a 2023 model when I get it. Ordered in February 1st.

you live from Granger?
It was a 1600 mile trip for us, but I enjoyed the country and got to spend time with my dad.
