ONCE AND FOR ALL, I need this question answered. With a 2” level, using factory 20” sport wheels, will 35x12.5-20 tires fit without any trimming or cutting crash bars? There doesn’t seem to be a consensus. For reference, truck is a ‘21 XLT sport FX4 super crew 3.5 eco. I just don’t want to order these tires and have issues, I refuse to touch the crash bars.

I will tell you that I have 33x12.5-20s on my truck currently with a 2" level and there is a little rubbing when I'm in reverse full tilt.

I couldn't tell but it looked like maybe he had a 2.25" level instead of the 2" for the new 2021s...that .25" may make the difference. Also, not all tires are actually the same size. One brand's 35x12.5 may be slightly different than another.

If you buy through a reputable tire shop, they will normally swap tires for you if you are not happy with result.

the tires I’m wanting measure at 34.65 diameter. I’m buying tires through a friend who is a wholesaler and the catch is whatever I order I am stuck with so trying to get this right

I like the idea of finally having one definitive thread that completes this never ending question.

Alas, it's not as simple. It seems many trucks will vary in height, therefore your 2" lift may put your truck slightly different than another persons. Or the kit you get may lift it slightly differently than another kit.

So as much as I'm excited that we need only this one thread, it's not possible due to different manufacture brands and for variances in ride height.
Never mind that 2 manufacturer tires may differ either in physical dimensions based on the advertisement and/or the type of tire. An aggressive M/T with side lugs may hit something before the same size tire suited for highway travel.

Lastly, there haven't been enough 2021 leveled trucks discussed yet to make it a "one answer fits all" quite yet.
I know you NEED an answer but unfortunately it's just not that easy.

I'm old and if I need a definitive answer, I'm driving my truck to the local tire shop of my preference, asking them to mount one so I can look with my actual eyes at any rubbing or non-rubbing. At that point, I know how to proceed either by walking inside with them while they place an order or looking for alternative options.

I'm leaning toward 295/60r20 or 33.9×11.5r20 and going with a RC 2" coilover level kit up front and adjustable RC V2 0-3.5 struts for the rear. Da wifey just announced she wants to enroll in a doctorate program so wider, more aggressive tires on my stock STX rims is my compromise...for now.
