Default Odd problem with Heated seats

Anyone having issues with their heated seats? Just bought a 2021 and its been in twice for problems with the heated seats. The driver side works intermittently and not so much at all on the passenger side. When you hit the remote start the Heated seat button lights up but they don't get hot. If I turn them off, then right back on they seem to work. Sometimes it heats right up, and sometimes it takes a while. Sometimes not so much at all. Any thoughts or is anyone else having issues?

Well, there has been a history of fuses not being properly seated in the different fuse boxes, might want to check if a loose fuse is causing intermittent performance.

Default Update

So the third times the charm. It was bad modules (exactly like I told them the first time I was in). They are on back order for a few weeks. So it will be four trips to get it sorted

Default Finafly Fixed

So on the 5th trip in for two days they finally fixed it. After replacing the module and the seat heating pad didn't fix it, it escalated it from the messaging tech line to a call to the engineering line (never heard of that, but ok) they said they ended up having to reload updated software, reboot etc. Seats are nice and hot now! what a PIA...but what can you do or say. electrical can be difficult. My only issue is they initially let it out of the shop twice not fixed. A couple people told me I was being to forgiving and patient. That may be, but beware the fury of a patient man.

Glad you got it fixed. Lots of software issues around remote start and heated seats. Others on the forums have reported issues as well.

Sadly, Ford service seems to heavily favor replacing a part over updating the outdated controlling software. My bet is the hardware was fine all along. I guess that behavior is due to their current training levels. When I picked up my Powerboost the tech guy explaining the truck to me.... it was the first time he had ever seen one!!!! Since I had read the manual 4 times I explained it to him!!!

Heated Seats in my powerboost are intermittent as well. The dealer checked them and replaced the module on the drivers side. This didn’t make any difference and I am told everything is working as it is supposed too. I am going to ask them to try a reboot. If they aren’t willing to do this then it is time to try another dealer.
