Default Noise from underneath.

I have a 2022 F150 Lariat, 60349k. There is a strange noise coming from underneath, sounds as if it's in the front right. It's not grinding in nature, I can tell it has something to do with the rotation of either the wheel or drivetrain.i put it up on a lift and attempted to identify any give in the wheels either vertically or horizontally. Nothing that I can tell. I'm thinking early stages of wheel bearings going bad. I don't want to leave it with ford to analyze the issue, they said it's $175.00 just to do that. It is becoming more prevelent as I drive. It's hit or miss when it happens. Any one experience this challenge? Any suggestions?

Looks like you're out of basic coverage but that sounds powertrain to me. Have you pushed back on the charge?

Hello. Are you still experiencing this noise concern? If so, I would like to look into it on my end. Please send over a private message with your VIN and the name/location of your local Ford dealer.

So the dealer called today said the IWE Actuator is the culprit.

upon inspection the CV Axle and Wheel Hub also visible damage.

It’s gotta be a problem with these things no way they should be going with only 15,000 miles on a truck.

I’m betting your is covered by warranty. Mine happened just as it went out of warranty. Thanks for the heads up.

If it is IWE, make sure they look for other causes. Bad IWE could be just the result of what the issue is. For example, could be the check valve is bad (works sometimes and partially other times) or a leak in one of the vacuum lines or the solenoid is bad. If it is something else, you will be right back where you are at right now at some point because, the root cause wasn't resolved. Not saying that the IWE just went bad but, you need to make sure that was the case and not something else that caused it to go bad.

that’s a very good point because I could be back at the dealership in a few years with the same problem and out of warranty.
