Default Nice Touches

Hello all,

Not sure if this will take off. I know it’s somewhat human nature to like to moan and see the downside of things easier than the good - but let’s face it, we all deep down actually like the F150 or HD’s made by Ford… I mean, most on here have made a conscious decision to spend some hard earned money on one.

So with that, I thought it might be nice to showcase the subtle touches that Ford doesn’t brag about, mention or even think you may notice (at least from my opinion anyway)… to start things off…

Has anyone ever noticed where if you have your AC on full blast, and you want to ask Siri something or say have an incoming call - the fan speed will temporarily lower itself just a little so that it’s not blowing out as noisy for these moments, allowing you to hear just a little easier. A nice touch.

Anybody else got anything that they noticed and thought, wow, nice touch?

All the cars I've driven, including my Chevy Cheyenne, does that.

However, one thing that separates F-150 from the others is the keypad to get in the vehicle. I usually leave it for extended periods of time at airports and I would hate to lose my keys while out there so I just wrap it in aluminum foil and hide it somewhere.

I will call things that other manufacturers are doing that I dont like and Ford isnt doing either as nice touches. One of the things I dont like is see vehicles with Daytime running lights that are white but then do double duty as turn signals.. Looks dumb in my opinion and actually gives me the impression they are cutting corners even though its probably more expensive and complicated

Interesting perspective. Multi-colored LEDs have been around for some time now and the circuitry to run a DRL/ running lamp is likely no more complicated than running a separate circuit for a dedicated turn signal.
