Default Drivers Assist

I have DA2.0 and Intelligent ACC. I got a message saying that it was available for the road I was on and to turn on ACC - which I did.

I let go of the wheel and the truck would have drifted into the center barrier without question. I tried again and same thing.

Is the truck supposed to keep in lane? Where are the side facing sensors? I just upgraded to tow mirrors (loaded swap for swap) and am wondering if that has something to do with it.

Thanks.

Wow - not a single answer? Do people really not know where the sensors are located that are used to evaluate what is beside the truck and to sense where the lane markings are??

Did you turn on lane keeping system as well as cruise control?

They are two separate buttons. I’ve used cruise only multiple time’s especially in interstate work zones where they have established “two lane pipelines” with concrete Jersey barriers on with side.

Thanks! That means my mirrors swap is not the culprit.

Yup, both on. I even get the notification that it's available and the command to turn on the cruise. I turn it on and my truck has no problem wandering out of the lane, It would go right into a jersey barrier if I let it.

One thing this brings up is will the cruise, if it's working, one stay in one lane? I guess it would have to if all it uses is the front camera.
