Ordering new F150 Lariat and sales person saying its only taking 4weeks. Last time I
ordered it was upto 12 weeks. anyone having any info?

I ordered mine on 1/31, truck was built on 3/6, delivery est. is 3/17. It's a Dearborn truck. So, right about 6.5 weeks for me if delivered on the 17th. 4 weeks is pretty fast, unless your dealer already had what you want on order before you showed up, they may have order one for stock and not telling you that.
Get the VIN, and got to "Ford Vehicle Order Tracking". Looks like yours should be a "local" build too.

 

You never know? When I ordered my 2011 I took delivery in 34 days.
I ordered my 2017 in July the day the order banks opened which was about 3 months before production started. It was built 11/7/16 then it sat in Dearborn for 2 months before it shipped. They were doing quality checks and repairs on some Raptors before they released them for shipping. My 2017 ended up being about 6 months to take delivery.
I ordered my 2020 November 25 2019. My dealer had already received a bunch of 2020's prior to my order so it took about 2 months before they pulled my order. My truck is currently in transit so it should be here by the end of this week. So a little over 4 months for this one.

 

Wow, could that have been because it's a Raptor? I wonder if there might be a quota type thing? Man, you must be ready to climb the walls!

 

I don't know?? I was thinking it was because the regional rep treated them good and got them stocked up early on 2020 F150s and Raptors. Then he ignored them for a while as he was getting some of the other dealers stocked up. That's just my theory, but when I ordered it the salesman told me it would probably take 3 or 4 months so I was prepared for a long wait. But it's getting tough. Yesterday during my travels I saw 3 different car haulers on the road heading for other dealerships.

 

And I bet you felt like looking real close, eh.
Mine only has to come a couple hundred miles, and I'm watching the order site pretty close.

 

Placed an order for my Lariat on the 14th of January and still waiting. Truck is built and "in transit" on the build tracker.

 

I ordered a Lariat January 15 and don't have the vin and haven't heard anything yet. I hope I get it by this summer.

 

Your dealer should be able to give you the VIN by now.

 

I've asked and he doesn't have it.
