Default New front diff and transfer case

I have a 2021 Tremor that just rolled over 16,000 miles. I was pulling a small 17ft trailer while in 4wd in light snow. I had a little tire spin when I was in the process of turning around and there was a loud metallic/crunching sound and everything up front stopped working. Since it is under warranty they replaced the front differential and transfer case. The tech said it was still binding up while in 4wd but that was due to the tires. He said the left front was one inch larger that the right and the right rear was a half inch bigger that the left. The tires are GT Grabber, which came on the truck. There is plenty of tread on the tires and the wear is even. According to the tech, this difference in the tires is causing the binding up issue and said I need new tires. A couple questions: 1) does this make sense to anyone and if so, can you explain it in layman's terms? 2) Has anyone else had an issue like this before?

Measure them your self, if he's right yes it will cause binding. An inch is a lot, I can't say it caused the breakage but it would be a lot of stress on parts. I assume that is the Elocker in the rear but on a clutch type 1/2 inch difference side to side would kill it in short order. Jim

Does your tremor have the front torsen limited slip option? If so, that'll contribute to the binding when turning.

I have ran into a handful of times maybe 5 in 20 years that new tires we've got were physically different in size than the rest. Otherwise they're usually pretty good if all the same brand and model.

As suggested measure them yourself. String around the circumference try to measure at the same spot, ensure pressures are the same
