Default 4A sluggish

Those of you with 4A (4 wheel Auto) does it seem sluggish while in 4A compared to 2hi? I can feel it suck some power. Is this normal? I figured it would be like GMs Auto setting which you could never tell was on.

My truck is new so I'm paying close attention to everything as I try to understand its habits. I don't notice any difference in power output in 4A versus 2W just driving around normally or when I hammer it. I don't know for sure but I thought 4A drive properties only come into play after wheels begin to slip.
When in SPORT mode it automatically shifts into 4A but I can't detect any difference if I switch to 2W.

I have 4A ('23 Powerboost). I have not noticed any difference in this mode power wise- other than being able to accelerate on wet pavement without the rear tires slipping.

if you’re in four auto on a dry road, you shouldn’t feel any reduction in power. The only way you would see a drop in power would be if there is a fault in the system and when you engage 4 auto, it is actually applying power to the front axle
