Hey all,

New to the forum but have found a ton of useful information scanning through. I have a 21 Platinum in Star White with the 7.2 kw. I love the truck - in fact the first weekend that I had it our power went out and I was able to keep us comfortable in the house and keep the food in the fridge from going bad (that convinced the wife that the truck was a good purchase).

Couple of things have come up though and I searched and found varying ideas on these with no real answer:

1) the panoramic moonroof cover rattles when completely closed and I go over bigger bumps in the road. Any ideas on a quick fix?

2) I have a rattle which sounds like it is coming from the dash behind the instrument cluster. I've found some threads for older model years that point to a number of things, including the cowl outside of the windshield. It sounds like one pill in a pill container rattling around. It's intermittent and only happens when I hit bumps in the road.

Unfortunately the roads I'm on have a lot of bumps and so I notice these things constantly. It really takes away from what is otherwise a great vehicle. Thanks for any help!

 

This might help with your dash rattle.
I've got nothing for the moonroof. Mine is poverty spec. lol

 

On my older 2015 Lariat, i had the same problem. The dealer removed the glass on the sliding part and resealed the glass. This solved the problem. I have not had this problem on my new Lariat.

Thanks! I think the noise in the moonroof is prevalent enough that I shouldn't have too much trouble with getting the dealer to take a look under warranty.
