Saw a post on another forum where one guy installed the amp steps. The passenger motor rubs on the boost lines.
anybody else have these on a Powerboost? Curious of issues if any, thanks

thanks, I’ll look into it. I helped a friend put some on a truck last year and the layout of the bolts only allowed one orientation. Amp tech support is useless.

Thanks, I saw that and sent them a pm. I asked if what he did shows sign of wear on the lines? Putting loose metal on metal underneath a ride is looking for trouble down the road!
Yes the steps will fit with some good DIY skills and your on your own. You mess it up your not returning them.
Amp will state they don't have any steps that fit because of the interference of the passenger side cooling lines with the motor driven hinge.
The passenger side motor was clocked to miss the lines and frame by about 3/16th's of a inch
.
No videos were made or pictures of how to reposition (clock the motor). Retired old fart just tinkering away.
It takes patients and the wiliness to do the disassembly of the motor driven hinge, the removal of the clocking pin, then the drilling out of the new holes for the new bracket mounting location, then lastly filling/sealing up the old bracket mounting holes.
Did do some routing differently on the wiring harness install also. Drilled 3/16th's holes across the top of the rear engine cowling and ran the harness up and over the top across from the drivers side. Then mounted the controller with Velcro to the top of the passenger side engine fuse box lid. Did not use the Amp board lights as the truck has the lighted mirrors for entry.
Going into the winter season and well we will see how well this works.
Non issue so far and the steps are working well.
The link showing both installs.
