Navigation Map updates
2021 with built-in navigation expiring soon. Is there a way to determine if any updates have actually occured over the past 3 years?
understand there will be no new map updates without a subscription and (I'm guessing) no traffic information. Also I'm thinking no updates to POI database, not that it's ever been accurate.
Navigation version 2.76.3r.20220923.a19d9e6c
SYNC 4 software version 23159_PRODUCT Revision:915

in this case you lose traffic and weather and maybe a couple of other small things but still retain full navigation as its the built in version but I think there is a way to enable navigation on the ones that are listed as just connected if wanted.

Yes, I think I read that somewhere too. I can say that when my Nav Connected service runs out in August, I sure won't be renewing them. The maps are so basic and do not seem that overly accurate with speed zones and new roads.
I had been using Google Maps, but was having all kinds of issue with the app messing up the full screen CarPlay. I have since switched to Apple Maps and have not had any issues. Updated maps for both Google and Apple come much more frequently, and there is no additional cost for either.
I am not sure why anyone would opt for Ford Navigartion unless they don't have a smart phone or live where there is just atrocious cell service such that the maps are not updating on the go.
The same is true for the Ford streaming service. Does anyone use this service, and if so, what is the big draw for you to pay for it over Apple Music, Spotify, Pandora, or the many other streaming services? I kind of get XM with the radio-like "channels" of different content, but I do not use it either. I have about 90 hours of music in my playlists, and that keeps me occupied in my travels without having to listen to some talking head.....
