Default Lock Work Tray Warning

I bought my meagerly optioned '23 STX off of the lot and one of the more useless options it came with is the work tray. I've never used it except to slide it forward to access the storage cubby. Lately the "LOCK WORK TRAY" warning has been coming on multiple times every time I drive. The tray is firmly locked in place and pounding the top surface of the tray will extinguish the warning for a few miles. Any way to permanently disable this warning? This truck runs well but is plagued with electronic issues on both the drivers screen and touch screen.

Was this a new vehicle or used? These are not good signs. If used, you should inventory all of the electronics issues and see if they are isolated to one fuse bank, box, or ground. Best to resolve the issue to prevent more potential problems! If new, you should unfortunately try to work with a dealer to fix the underlying problem.
