Default Lock Keys Inside

I intentionally want to lock my keys inside the truck. I don’t want to take them with me but the truck keeps unlocking once I close the door. Is there a way to disable this?

Example: Park truck at hunting lease and don’t want to take the keys with me into the woods.

On my 2015 if you push the bottom two buttons on the keypad on the outside it will lock the keys in the truck. We do it at the boat ramp all the time. Hoping the 2021 is the same. Give it a shot and please let me know as I am curious now.

I'd also recommend wrapping the key fob in aluminum foil, or similar 'faraday' type device, so that if somebody should find their way to the truck and gain entrance, it won't just start right up for them. Thieves are everywhere, you better believe it. Wrap it and put it somewhere not super fast to find. Just because the effort to do so is so, so low compared to a stolen truck

You should also be able to use your FordPass app to lock and unlock the truck. My buddy keeps his fob in the fob slot under the console cubby in his Tremor.

Daughter - Dad, I locked my fob in the car.
Dad - Where is your other fob?
Daughter - I lost it 2 yrs ago.
Dad - What is your keypad code?
Daughter - I don't know I never used it.
Dad - Open it up with the FordPass app.
Daughter - I never set it up but I will now.
Dad - Did you set up your FordPass?
Daughter - No it would not let me with the fob locked in the car.
Dad - Call Ford Roadside Assistance for a lock smith.
Dad - UGH !!!!!
