Default Live Feed Rear View Camera

Just curious if anyone has installed a live feed rear view camera/mirror in their new truck? I first noticed that this an option in the Cadillac escalades and I would love to have it on my truck. The majority of what I see when looking at the rear view mirror is the backseat and with my tint so dark, I see even less.

Thanks

It’s an installed feature in my late build 2021. I can view rear view or bed camera in full screen or in the secondary screen on my 12” infotainment display.

What is the secondary screen? I have the 12" infotainment screen. and I also have tailgate and bed cameras. But of course they turn off at a certain MPH like 5-7 I think.

I’m not sure the proper term for it.
The right most part of the infotainment screen.

Hi! How do you compare you bed view camera against the other cameras on your truck? Mine seems to be significantly lower quality in resolution for picture quality than the others - or is this normal?

See the up and down arrows below that screen? Press those to cycle through options. Hopefully yours has the option for bed camera.
it won’t show it immediately, it’ll show a blank/silver screen with an icon, press the icon and it’ll show up. I’ll try to post a video below:

Bed camera demo

the bed camera is noticeably lower quality than the 360 cameras.
I haven’t seen the quality of the auxiliary addon trailer camera yet. I need to buy one of those for my camper. Anyone know how I get one of those?

Good to know that it’s not a “fault” with that camera being lower in quality. I wonder if there is any scope to switch the camera out to a higher resolution one, or would you think it’ll cause other issues in doing so?

I doubt it’s em impossible, but to find a camera that is compatible, will fit in the tail lamp housing (probably molded in there) and won’t cause a water leak into the cab of your truck, is probably not worth the effort/money.

I am fixing to go drive and see if I have that option. My truck is a loaded lariat so do I have the same options as you?
