Default Leveling Kit vs Bilsteins

I got a 2022 f-150 Platinum two weeks ago. The ride quality is okay with factory shocks but i want to do a leveling kit on the front. Can't stand the factory look. Have you guys leveled your trucks yet? I heard somewhere with a spacer kit, the top control arm will rub. Is that true? I had bilstein ride height adjustable shocks on my 2013 and the ride quality improved so much. Should i just go with those?

I've been doing some snooping and I think if I was going to pull the trigger I would go with Bilsteins and a small spacer. Maxing out the lift on the Bilsteins doesn't seem to be ideal and neither does tossing in a 2.5" spacer. I think a 1" spacer and midlevel settings on the shocks would be ideal. I'd love to hear feedback from someone with that exact setup though.

Check out leveling coil overs for he front, at Stage 3, plenty to choose from, helps level, and keep the nice ride.

What is the max ride height adjustment that is safe for the front drive line? I've read that more than 2" of positive height adjustment may create front end joint failure. Is this accurate?

Over 3", many, like Readylift pucks are and were 2.5".

It's worth really asking yourself 1) do I want to tow and 2) how much do I value my front CV shafts?

If you're never going to tow and you'll have the truck for a few years, then just get whatevet suits you. But if you're planning to tow or plan to keep the truck long enough for messed up suspension geometry to matter, think more about better shocks vs pucks.

"Better shocks" vs pucks makes no difference in the suspension geometry change. Both methods are lifting the front end in the same way.

my buddy did 5100s on his 21 F150 and he does not scuff the UCA on the coils but my truck with a 2 in puck does. I’m trying to figure out why. So your saying if I change to the 5100s , I will still scuff them coils and control arms ?

It would be wise to wait until you get your truck and do some measuring. I have a 21 Lariat Powerboost and the difference front to back was only 2.5 inches, so went with a 2 inch puck for mine. .5 inch is not noticeable... Some have larger differences, which is why you should measure yours
