Lane centering
Has anyone had any issues with the lane centering? It seems that it follows the painted lines on the highway, which may be fine in some places, but here in ND we have 4 lanes with turning lanes on them, and it seems to want to jump into the turning lanes and dart back out. Dang near rolled the truck when it swerved into the turning lane at 70. Not sure if there is an adjustment or anything I can do to remedy this. As of now, I'm not a fan. Our 2019 highlander is way more subtle and has never reacted the way this truck did. Any help.is appreciated.
It follows the lines on the road. If they are going different directions the truck doesn't know which ones you want it to follow. This will likely be resolved with the full hands off driving software update in the Fall when I suspect the truck will know what the road ahead is doing based on the roads being previously mapped. Currently it works great for what it is designed to do.
I mainly use lane centering for interstate driving and i have learned a couple of things over the last few weeks. The truck is confused when a line disappears at an exit and also the tar lines used to repair cracks in the road will confuse it also. I drive the same 300 miles of interstate weekly and have learned when to turn it off my self for a couple of miles at the tar stripes. I have also noticed the system likes to hug a line on one side or the other at time.

The only vehicle using Stereoscopic vision is Subaru EyeSight, and that's for ACC. Every other vehicle, and AV companies such as Waymo, or comma.ai openpilot use single camera for Lane Line acquisition, and either Radar or Lidar for Distance and Obstacle tracking.
Even the Active Drive package will still use 1 camera for lane line tracking.
