I don't think that the only purpose of a tune is to increase power. For instance, I really want a tune to clean up shifts and get 10th at ~48 MPH (it's currently hard locked out below 50 MPH). With my slightly heavier tires, I cannot all electric above 48 MPH and can't get 10th below 50 MPH, so the sweet spot of constantly switching in and out of electric mode is gone. I also want the battery depth of discharge range increased from 40-60% up to 20-80%.

Finally, I may tune mine to use E85 some day. I'm finishing up with a Cervini Intake hood mated to a Roush CAI and running through a Livernois intercooler. I want to do a full turbo-back exhaust, but I want to let the more adventurous/wealthy among us find all of the pitfalls first before I embark on that journey. A tune that can take advantage of those mods seems reasonable, particularly given the electronic waste-gates. Specifically, if throttle, waste-gate shift behavior is tuned so that if I keep my foot off the pedal, I get a mild mannered engine but have 30-40 extra HP and lb-ft when I want it, that's a win for me.

I briefly ran a JB4 on my 2017 A4 before moving to a 2016 S6 and Stage 3 DS1 tune, so my experience is limited. Yes it is very popular on other platforms, but I do not believe the PB has been out long enough to make a determination of its effectiveness. I honestly don’t know anything about ford tuning, my new 2022 F150 PB is the first ford I’ve ever owned (53yrs old with multiple dodge trucks in my history) but given the hybrid system, I think I’d wait a bit before jumping on to the first and apparently only tuning option available. . It’s not really a tune, it simply alters the resistance to trick the ecm into thinking it’s not applying enough boost. At least that’s the impression I got from my research. Again, I only used it briefly, so could be wrong, but it couldn’t hold a candle to what a real tune was capable of from my perspective. **added** also of note, it does absolutely nothing with transmission shift points
