Default Intermittent issue with touchscreen

Wondering if anyone has noticed this on their F150. I recently purchased a 2022 F150 Lariat and have had 2 occasions so far where the touchscreen will go black for a few seconds and/or the picture on the screen will start to jitter. Lasts maybe 10-15 seconds and then everything is back to normal, and the touchscreen continues to function normally.

Not really concerned, as it's new and still under warranty, but just curious if anyone has run into the same thing and if they took it to the dealership to be fixed? I've checked for OTA updates, but I'm up to date apparently.

Thx.
Ryan

Mine has done this twice in the last year but it only last a couple of seconds. Its not rebooting its just the screen. Dealer stated they could not duplicate it.

I have had this happen a couple times; looks like there is a loose connection. Audio continues to play. I checked for loose fuses, didn’t find anything. I’ve been hesitant to dive into trying to fix it when it can’t be reproduced to pinpoint the fault, not wild about tearing everything apart.

Mine went black for the first time recently. It stayed black for about 15 minutes so I turned it off and back on using the hard button. When I turned it back on, it was fine.

Last week it happened again except this time it turned blue for a while, then went to black, then went back to blue. It wouldn’t respond to anything I did. Finally it started working again.

Just one more thing to improve the owner experience.

Mine will lock up, then play loud static through the speakers. Touchscreen freezes. Fortunately, the volume dial still works, so I can turn it down.

I can either wait a few minutes and it will reboot itself, or else hard press the screen off button for 10 seconds, which seems to force the reboot.

This only started last night, at 8,000 miles. First long drive in warmer temps, (2 6-hour drives in the past 36 hours) so I was wondering if it was overheating. It happened 2x on the way down, and 2x on the way back. It is also the first long drive after I got the latest OTA update from Ford, so that's another possibility.

It has been flawless to this point.

Well, nice to know I'm not alone! Was hoping someone would say the dealer fixed it, but like others mentioned, I'm not going to mention it as they will just say they can't reproduce it since it's very random, and I don't really want them tearing the dash apart unless they know exactly what they're after.....
Guess I'll just keep an eye on it and see if it gets worse.

If by chance you are driving your truck while it is in the process of installing an OTA update, there will be issues with the touchscreen/audio while that update actually installs. If these are rare occurrences, then it could very well be what happened in these isolated cases. Very few of the updates that are sent to these trucks will require the vehicle to be inhibited while they install. Those updates that do not require the vehicle to be parked can download and install while it is parked or while it is being used if it just so happens it is sent to your truck while you are driving it.

I get the part about tearing the dash apart, they were already taking mine apart to replace several of my vents. Even if they cant reproduce it I'm going to list it evetime I take it in so if it does finally fail after warranty i may have a chance of them covering it since it has been documented. I doubt it but maybe.
