Default Interior lights not working

My interior lights aren’t coming on when I get in or out of my truck. I’m getting a low battery code. Could this have something to do with it or is there a setting I need to change?

Yep, charge the battery and the interior lights will work again. BMS is conserving battery by limiting electrical usage.

Welcome to Ford's BMS (battery management system). If you want to keep the interior and approach lights working and functions such as remote start using the Ford Pass app, you are going to want to get a quality AGM trickle charger and plug it in every so often to top off the battery. I have a NOCO Genius10 and it works great.

Replace the battery with an H8.

And update the state-of-charge setting in Forscan to at least 95%

I was just handling this on my truck 2 days ago.

My 12V battery was put on a Rotunda test at the dealer and failed. Replaced under warranty. I was in and out in about 2 hours.

There is a TSB for Powerboost trucks... TSB 23-2347 which I think would apply if your 12V battery is not defective. My battery did not charge after 2 60 mile drives in 4 days so I took it in. Passed the battery quick check and failed that detailed battery check.

You can find a lot of info though. I think the non-powerboost trucks can be upsized to H8. Someone already mentioned the max charge capacity can be changed. I've also seen many other folks just saying the Motorcraft batteries aren't that great and buying high quality aftermarket.

I'd at least get the dealer to do a Rotunda long-test on the battery and go from there.
