Here y'all go....Honda Rodent Tape. It still amazes me that the wiring under the hood of my 1991 Hwanda Accord sitting in my barn for the last 15 years has untouched factory wiring and the only wiring chewed thru by critters is the aftermarket 4ga power wire ran for an amplifier.
If it’s squirrels, leave a small trap under the truck with a piece of donut in it…if you dispose of them or relocate them they will stop. At least, until a few years when new ones come, lol.
My cat Fonzie really did not like squirrels at all - he took them shaking their tails at him as a challenge, lol. 🤣 He didn't wait for them to trespass - he went hunting for them where "they" live...
Too bad village doesn't even allow me to use my Diana Model 34 pellet gun within the village.

Dude that is awesome. Your service is awesome but I have the same pellet gun and it has dispatched dozens of squirrels. One pump, 1000 feet per second of a .177 caliber pellet. Gun is probably 30 years old and still works like new.
A few days after I discovered that my engine cover had been a dinner plate for squirrels, a message stating "Check Headlight System, See Manual" popped up. Repeatedly. I took it in and, just as I thought, part of the wiring harness for my adaptive headlights had been chewed. The lights still worked but the system was not functioning as it should. Replacement parts cost just over $60.00. Labor of course will probably 3 times that. I guess there's a first time for everything.
Well, to close this out. Dealer had truck one day, fixed harness for $900. They quoted $3k to replace the harness at which point I would have to do the insurance claim but the pain point here is the diminished value once the Carfax takes a ding. So no insurance claim for me.
Neighbor does have two outdoor cats and I swear the squirrels and cats must be best friends, they run around the yard ignore each other. i also did order some of the Honda tape and will be wrapping this area once its warmer out, found way too many pics on internet of same exact area getting chewed up, not sure why.

That explains the $2100 difference between fixing the harness and replacing the harness.
