Default How are the new headlights?

Any new owners impressed with either the base LED reflector or the premium LED projectors?

Have to imagine Ford improved the headlights. Was the only knock on safety ratings for the previous gen.

I have the new Lariat with the LED Reflectors and can say they light up the road. I drive on a lot of dark two lane roads and the automatic high beams is a nice feature.

Can anyone currently comment on the higher end projectors as well as the halogens?

I just got a platinum and drove on a curvy mountain road at night this past weekend. I think they are also just as poor as they were before. No change for the better. So status quo on the lights.

I have a 21 KR and had 17 Lariat 502 with LEDs. The LEDS on the KR seem better to me. The light the sides of the road well. They do bend to some extent when turning. The auto high beam has been improved. I had to turn it off on the 17 because it would go to brights at inappropriate times. The fog light are also a big improvement.

Bump for a great post. I, too, would like to get some driving impression comparisons between the LED reflector and LED Projector headlights.

I saw an interview with a Ford mid level and he said they improved the lights across the board. Can anyone confirm the halogen low beam bulb number compared to last years bulb and see if they used a brighter bulb in the base truck.

I called the IIHS to see when they would post the test results for 2021 safety ratings and they told me they didn't even have the F150 on their schedule yet .

I'm assuming you have a 501A which is with the halogen tail lights from what I understand. Can you confirm they are actually halogens and how are they compared to the LED tail lights? I have a 501A on order.

We'd love to see output shots if anyone has them. Thanks.

Would it be be too much trouble for you guys in the lower trim levels to look in your owners manual and see what bulbs the low beam halogens are? I'm hoping they upgraded from the fleshlights they called headlights last year.
