In the past I was eligible for x plan pricing and the dealers would say they can beat that price without it. I haven't had a Ford since 2017, so how does it work today? Do I provide X-plan number and then get the rebates on top of that price or another way? Looking for a XL/STX with a 2.7 and extended fuel tank.
Generate a X-plan PIN (could be if you're a member partner of where you work, etc). Go to the incentive website. put in your COMPANY CODE (ask your manager or personnel manager).
You get the X-Plan price that is on the invoice. X-plan also caps the DOC FEE to $100 (not usually the hundreds dollars they charge $899 here). don't let the dealer tell you any different about the doc, its in the program rules.
Some dealers discounts MAY be cheaper than x-plan, but remember they're gonna add their more expensive doc fee back in. See which is cheaper!!
Even years ago it was very difficult to beat x-plan pricing. These days, it's damn near impossible. It is possible, but, if you can get X-plan (and you can), save yourself a lot of headache and just get and use the X. Or buy from Granger.
The one that still cannot be beat these days is A/Z plan (employee pricing).
I just purchased my new F150 on June 2nd 2023 using an A-Plan.
Here's how it worked for me.
PIN Generated
Called Uxbridge FORD about purchasing a new truck and I indicated I had an "A-Plan" PIN,
Was hooked up with my sales consultant Tony Poupa.
Appointment was made, and Tony requested I go online, build my truck and forward him the build.
Day of appointment Toni had a 2022 F150 Demo with almost an identical build.
He gave us a brief run down on features thru us the keys and said go enjoy the test drive.
Upon returning from test drive, Tony provided us a full build sheet/contract showing our A-Plan discount.
we put a $3000 down payment, signing build sheet/contract, which also indicated our FORD finance rate, payment etc.... and the process was started.
X-plan pricing is dealer invoice -0.4% plus a $100 document fee. The MSRP on my 2023 XLT was $55,685 X-plan cash price was $52,724.62. There were some incentives that lowered the price to $48,574.62. Out the door with TT&L was 52,009.16. This was my fifth truck bought on the X-plan.
You might be able to beat that deal by negotiating though I doubt you will beat it enough to make the effort worthwhile. With X-plan you tell the dealer up front and they tell you the price, no haggling. They are also required to show you their invoice. I also learned from the dealer that Ford audits A/Z and X-plan sales to make sure the dealer follows the rules.
What incentives/discounts can you combine with the X plan? I know you can use whatever promotion Ford may be offering at the time such as take $2,500 off and 0% for up to 60 mo, etc, etc. Occasionally, Ford will send out an individual cash rebate to individuals randomly. I wasn’t if this could also be used or anything else?

You can also get the Ford incentives with a plan.
I don't think you can combine with a PCO (private cash offer), not that I've heard about anybody getting one of those for awhile now
