The dealership was obviously aware I'd received the first offer, but hasn't reached out thus far on the second...thus the reason for my question.

As to dealers opting in for Costco--got it and agree. Inventory and 69,000 other issues are likely impacting their decision to opt in. I have X Plan, and had a 20 well below that. I have time as this truck purchase is for my son, so we will wait. However, I do agree with your statement re: Costco. Last year I found what you wrote to be true.
If the private cash offer is for someone in your household, you will be able to use it. All that matters is what's on that offer, not the envelope. If not, likely not. However, your dealer can look up in the system whether you have one or not to clarify things.

Well, if it involved a night in Tijuana with lots of Tequila and a screaming chimpanzee, then I may have someone in the house who can use it. But, that would be news to me (and my wife)! I suspect its in error, as my most recent purchase is from well over 1 year ago. Thanks--

That's funny - just yesterday I got a PCO in the mail... addressed to the guy that lived in my house before I bought it over 10 years ago!! They really keep those records forever haha.

So I got semi-excited thinking this "Ford-Lincoln-Mercury" PCO might be higher than my $2k currently but I would be unable to use it. Well it turns out it was for $3k but off of LINCOLN only, not Ford. Whew! So no big deal on being taunted by Ford this time.
