So you're saying that the spare set of keys was placed on an RV and then? you drove off and they fell to the ground somewhere? Then before you replaced them, you then lost the only remaining key when it, fell off? your key chain?

I understand this is incredibly frustrating at this time, especially as it's such a brand new vehicle and it's going to cost a lot to replace them, but i'm trying to work out (pure curiosity/disbelief) just how the two separate keys were lost in two separate incidents, in such a short time frame

Talk to your insurance agent.

Problem solved.

Bought 2 keyfobs from a reputable online store at $65 each.
Locksmith charged $150 to reprogram and cut emergency keys. Not all locksmiths can do this. They need to be able to use Ford software.

My Total cost $280

Total dealer cost $825 for keyfobs, reprogramming, retrieving code from Ford and cutting 2 laser keys.

Dealer will tell you that keyfobs bought online don't work. That wasn't my experience.

Now time to attach a key finder and dog tag to my keys.

As noted, online keys work fine. OP found that some locksmiths can program them, which is correct. Same if you have 1 key, just make sure they program the second key as unique and not a copy.

If you have 2 keys, you can program a 3rd yourself.

Ford is adding PAAK (Phone As A Key) to new vehicles such as the Mach-E and upcoming Lightning. This technology let's you use your phone as a key, but has many issues today. In the absence of your phone, you can use a personalize password such as StartMyEngineLostMyDamnKey. You could then drive to a locksmith or dealer and make new keys.

Ive always bought used Fobs for the Fords online at Ebay and programmed them. I've only added them as the 3rd or 4th Key, but have never had an issue buying used Fobs online from Ebay and programming them. No Experience in programming the Fobs with no other Keys present and delelting all the Keys out. But the used ones should work and ran me between $40-$45 each for the 2 that I bought. My Ford Dealer doesnt cut the Laser Keys, but has a locksmith come by every week. He cut my 2 blanks for Free. I buy the used ones as I have always worried about the aftermarket ones they sell and if there are issues with them

I have purchased OEM fobs from Car and Truck Remotes for my ‘21 F-150 and ‘18 MKZ. They also sell aftermarket and used fobs. I self programmed them with the 2 original fobs so they are copies. I get the emergency keys cut at a local locksmith for about $10. I think I paid about $65 for the OEM fobs.
