And you just got flustered or whatever by the salesman? Seriously? SERIOUSLY???
I didn’t even go to the dealership my wife is the one that brought it home I put my trust in the wrong salesman twice over the last two months the truck salesman along with the guy that sold me this travel trailer but I believe in owning my mistakes and I do make plenty but I do try to learn from them

You said you are going to tow heavy but how often? The tow ratings for 150 are pretty high and as others have mentioned the difference between a light duty and heavy duty is “can get the job done” vs “get the job done comfortably”. If you are not towing often, would weight distribution hitch solve it for you? If you do tow often, you can look into add air bags to rear axle, but mind you those air bags will make the truck ride rough even at 5 psi when empty

Thank you for the advise I do pull a trailer almost everyday it’s not always heavy but at least 50 percent of the time it is I am really leaning towards air bags I had a set on my last truck and they worked great just thought I would ask and get other peoples opinion

If you figure in the trailer and cargo the most I would pull at least on a fairly regular basis is about 9000lbs my other 150 did just fine for that but it had the tow package I can’t really see a difference between this truck and the other with the exception of the wiring harness

"...the total weight of trailer is 7200 with tongue weight of 700-800 lbs and I’m fighting it the whole time. ...I am getting pushed around by other traffic and has a really bad sway after 45 to 50 mph....the trailer and cargo the most I would pull at least on a fairly regular basis is about 9000lbs"

What did the Towing Calculator that @Mlarv posted above tell you for your truck?

You keep talking power. You don't have a power problem, you have a brakes, suspension, frame problem for those weights. Sounds to me like you have the wrong configuration F150 for any kind of regular heavy towing. Just my .02 worth...

Agreed here. Frame for 2.7 without max tow is lighter and has less capability than the 3.5. That would be my concern.

You say you're towing 7200# camper now with 700-800# tongue weight? Without a WD hitch? Read the sticker on your trailer hitch--specifically says max tongue weight of 500# without a WDH. That would be true for any configuration of F150 you purchased.
