Default Height Question

I have a 2022 F-150 3.5 EcoBoost with tow package. I want to add suspension and a leveling kit as I develop land for a living and will actively use 4WD on a regular basis driving through wooded areas and maintenance trails. I measured the front fender from the wheel well to the ground and it is 37", the rear measures 41". So, if there is a 4" difference between the front and rear, how does one level the truck with a coilover system if the system (FOX 2.0) only raises the front end 2"? Should I be looking at a lift kit? Is there one that will level the truck? I want coilovers and not a body kit.

There are a lot of coilovers that are good up to 2.5” of lift. I wouldn’t go higher if your using 4wd a lot. Once that front end is up itll look good but you can decide then if you want to drop the rear. The tremor rears sit even higher and if you go on that forum you can see plenty of pics of how their trucks look with 2 and 2.5 level kits.

Thanks for the information. I was under the impression that a level kit, coil over in this case, was meant to actually “level” the truck. I did not realize that the back end would have to be lowered.
Is there a leveling kit/coil over that will give these truck a real level?

There is so much variation in heights with these trucks that there is no one kit that perfectly levels everything. Your best bet is to go off of your own measurements and see what you need.

The different trucks sit differently from each other. At 4" difference, you are on the max end of the height differences.

I suggest measuring from hub to fender vs. using the ground surface to measure from.

Sounds like in your case, if you go to a 4" kit (which is my suggestion), you may need to use a rear block to meet your need vs one that comes included with a kit.

Thanks for the comment. I will measure from the hub. I was told by my salesman at Ford the back end is beefed up for the trailering package.

If it's truly level (by measurements) it will give the appearance of being nose high. Mine measures 1/2" low in the frontand it looks level or slightly nose high depending on how it's parked.

The shop I took it to suggested installing the 3.5” readylift to the front end only and leave the back as is (stock) since the back is already 4” taller.

If you carry/tow heavy loads and are perfectly level you will sit nose high when doing so. I wish I’d kept a small amount of rake, 1.5-2 inches when I leveled the front with Bilsteins 5100 shocks. Just my .2

edit: I’ve seen where folks will also just remove the rear blocks/go to smaller ones to level as well. Cheap alternative.

2.5 should get you close, but you may still have a slight rake.
