Default Hdpp plus led headlights

Seems the combo of heavy duty payload package and getting the led headlights is a no go. Anyone figured a way to do it? In the past you were able to order a base lariat and still get the hdpp but it’s not available anymore. However if you order a base lariat with max trailer tow package it automatically gets you into a 5.0 v8 with 3:73 gears. If I remember correctly are not the 3:73 gears reserved for hdpp? So is it kinda still available?

3.73s are standard with HDPP. but optional with the other engine options and configurations

They dropped the lariat HDPP a couple of years ago. They were the real diamonds out there. Cuts into f250 business too much. 301a is the max you can get now. You can get 3.73 on the 5.0 without HDPP but if you want 3.73 with the Eb you have to get HDPP.

If you really need a specific and don't want to pay for the HDPP, you can always regear aftermarket. Generally costs around $1200 parts and labor assuming the axles are in good condition. Or do it yourself for $400 or so in parts, but you'll need a few specialty tools.

Will also cost about 15k to get a qualified up fitter to reissue a coach and carriage certificate.

Meant to say "specific gear ratio", i.e., 3.73, 4.10, 5.13 etc. Personally I wouldn't try and alter the GVWR or GAWR.

On most configurations (164" WB being the exception) the frame is of different thicknesses on the HDPP versus non-HDPP, and either a frame swap or welded in reinforcement might be required to increase GVWR and GAWR.
