HDPP Availability in Future Trims
I think you're more likely to see it go away than be added to more trims (which I think is a bummer). There's no competition for it in the market, and even if there were I think it's a minority of truck buyers who ever consider the fact that payload actually matters, and that's all you're selling to. It would be nice if they just offered some kind of max GVWR package that obviously carries more value in the lower trims but people would probably be happy to pay for and order if it keeps them out of an HD truck they really don't want - however I think Ford knows to a small extent the HDPP just cannibalizes HD truck sales at the margins anyway.

I have my doubts on the "leather" seat material getting better than it was back in 2012, which my dog promptly put a toenail through, exposing that it's paper thin. If youre worried about seats, I'd say get a seat cover, the Katzkin seat covers are actually really nice as well. I would imagine the mirrors are swappable and any programming taken care of with forscan.
Still doesnt make it a Lariat but if you really need the HDPP there are ways to get some of what you're missing from the higher trim

I'd also bet on the fact that there would be less availability vs more.
That said, at least locally here in UT, I actually do see a lot of HDPP trucks around. A lot are contractor vehicles but there are a few guys who have them as personal trucks. I have a feeling more people have them than we think, they just arnt the people spending time of forums.

I have a 2013 Lariat with the HDPP and love it. Planned on replacing it a couple years ago but couldn't get a Lariat, so I started looking at Super Duties. I'm still on the fence about it, hoping they'll bring back the HDPP for the F150 Lariat. Building comparable trucks, the SD is less money though, so seems like a no brainer except I really don't need the SD and I would rather have the ride of a F150 for my daily driver.

Hopefully the supply chain is why they limited it to XL (and not XLT like in the 21 and 22s). If they would have had HDPP in the 302A XLT I would have bought it. They didn't so I blew a bunch of extra money on a Lariat 502A. LOL
Opinion .... Not gonna see HDPP return to higher trims because bottom line there just isn't enough market demand (that's not to deny there are a few folks who would gladly spend for it). Ford incurs significant costs for making things available even when few folks elect to buy them.
As evidenced by what's available (or more accurately what's not available) in 2023 vs 2022 (e.g elimination of Lariat SuperCab, elimination of Lariat 500A, etc) methinks Ford's really sharpening the pencil when it comes to the cost of making features available which aren't offering them good 'payback' in return.
