Do you have a subscription to FDRS and at least a mongoose cable or better? You need this to do the update manually? To do this yourself will cost at least $50 for 2 day FDRS license. $500 for mongoose cable and roughly a $100 for a battery charger with power supply mode. Its not hard to do if your willing to spend the cash. This is assuming you already have a laptop computer capable of running the programing.

You can't.

This will roll out as OTA updates (multiple) when Ford rolls it out. There is nothing you can do beyond setting your truck to look for updates every day. I have mine set to 1AM 7 days a week.

This thread is about either getting the dealer to do the updates (which they can't say no to, refer to original post) or a customer to do them using FDRS and the right cable. Not OTA updates which haven't yet been rolled out.

If I’m understanding correctly, if you have access to FDRS and the necessary hardware, you can download and apply the module updates. If you don’t have this, then you have to let the truck download all the updates OTA by itself, which may take several weeks for it to do (optimistically, given how slow the OTA updates seem to go). The ‘update pending’ notification in the truck only seems to indicate that the truck has downloaded an update which will need disabling operation of the vehicle for a short amount of time to apply, and it wants you to schedule a time to do this. It does not seem to indicate that there are pending updates in The cloud that the truck hasn’t downloaded; most of us have a bunch pending, but the truck still says up to date. I don’t know of any way to force the Ford servers to feed the OTA updates to your truck; that seems to happen on their schedule.

I have forescan. I don't mind spending the money. I can't stand waiting on stuff I should already have 🤣
