Default Getting ready to buy

I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on a 22 Platinum, 4WD, PowerBoost, Pro Power. I'm getting X-Plan pricing with no mandatory dealer add-ons.

I need to receive it before 12/31 for tax reasons. That gives me 10 months to have it built and delivered.

What do you think, will I make it?

I'm a pessimist.. I'd still give it a 96% chance it'll happen.

I ordered my 502A mid October and just got it last week. I do think prices are climbing like crazy - and that tax deduction will be safe...

Ordered a 302a XLT late December. Early February was told a ETA about the end of March.

That was just before the last and latest round of Plant shut downs, Kansas is again shut down next week. (Chip Shortage)

The way things are looking, my 22 King Ranch 4WD Powerboost is going to take right at 10 months. You should make it, but it's far from a guarantee. Now would be a good time for you to turn to drugs and alcohol.

As I mentioned in a different thread, talked to my dealer yesterday about ordering a new Explorer. He told me to expect 6 months minimum, maybe closer to 8. I think you should make it.

Well I pulled the trigger just now. It was the easiest thing I've ever done. I emailed the build i worked up on Ford's site to four different dealers. I talked on the phone twice with the dealer I chose. I sent him a copy of my DL and he ordered the truck. That's It!!!

Here is the pricing and the build sheet. What do you think?

Thanks,
Lenny

Nice truck for sure. I’m not a red vehicle guy but for some reason that red looks hot on these trucks.

Where is the DORA? I’d want to see that so I could confirm everything made it into the actual order. There are many things in the order system that are not on the build site plus there is room for error on interpretation between what he may think you wanted based on your build, and the order system.

You should wait until fall and order a 2023.
1) you won't be driving around a year old 2022 the day after you owe it.
2) It will save you 10 months of unnecessary stress (and it will save the forum of another "when will my truck arrive" thread).
