Even if you never tow anything, at least get 3.55
I agree. Get the 3.73s. I don’t see a reason to order them with 3.31s ever. If fuel mileage is the concern, a truck should be reconsidered.

I have an FX4, but did not want it, but got a great deal. Has the stiffer ride. Tow package already had the locker, so FX4 was literally stiffer shocks and floor mats.

I will have to check if I have real skid plates or fiber junk.

There really is nothing wrong with 3.31’s with the 10 speed. I’m fact on stock tire sizes the 3.31 in some
ways makes better use of all 10 speeds. Having said that if your plan is a lift kit and big wheels/tires then go for the 3.73’s.

Get the FX. You’ll never regret buying more than you need. You might regret otherwise. Darn, should have bought. I hate the diaper!

Everyone says this but having owned one I would never by a 3.31 again.

I understand I’m just saying the 3.73’s are not the “must have” they once were unless your doing big wheels and tires or plan on racing. For 90% of the average Joe that wants a V8 truck the 3.31’s are a good choice.

3.73 are not just for “big tires”. If you tow, or do any sort of truck things, they’re a huge noticeable plus. If your truck is used for nothing more than an oversized station wagon, I guess it doesn’t matter.

If anyone is ordering a new truck, knowingly choosing 3.31 gears is something I could never imagine doing.

I’ve ordered that AND the Fx4 package, with the 5,0, for the past two Ford’s. A great combo.

The other feature that I'm pretty sure comes with the FX4 package that I actually use on occasion is down hill brake assist.

The Fx4 is the most expensive of the three, and does not come with lumbar support
important for me , im older and use it at full out position, may not be that big of a deal for some
