Because that's the only way to get rid of it. Ford coded the software that way for whatever reason, so if you want it gone, you have to change the configuration that makes it pop up there.

The '22 I was driving last week had this also, when using the camera button on the dash, but not with the backup camera.
I'd assumed it was some covid microchip shortage 'feature removal'. My former Explorer had the 360 cam, so I figured maybe something similar, without the front & side cams.

The truck also has the auto-stop removal, which is nice.
