ot was trailer hitch not recognized update

@Bowtye8 make sure your battery is fully charged. Short trips aren’t enough. Plus do you have it connected and in range of your home WiFi?

yes. I drive 35-45 mins to and from work. Also when parked at home has a good wifi signal.

You can do it in the truck.
mine says updated 11/15/22 but it is only to version 2.7.4.

is the version tied to the trim level? I have XLT with 302a

I admit I am a dinosaur and still getting used to all the new technology in the new truck. I have sync 4.0.22012 with connected navigation. Is this CarPlay built in there somewhere? How do I activate it?

Dealer called offering me a free oil change. Could they do the update when they have the truck? Volvo would update our maps when we got the oil changes. Wonder does ford do the software updates at the same time

They could but they'll probably just say, "we couldn't duplicate the issue."

A lot of people have reported being connected to WiFi and never getting an update, but then they leave town and park somewhere with no WiFi and an update comes in. Not a single update released through Ford's OTA process requires WiFi for it to be downloaded. Being connected to WiFi means nothing in terms of getting an update. Ford pushes the updates out with no rhyme or reason. Many of us believe that Ford stopped sending 3.5.3 out for some reason. There were a few people that reported getting it a while back, and it has been over a month since anyone else has reported getting it.

Does anyone know if data sharing is required to get the update?
