Default Frustrated

I have a 2023 F150 and I'm getting frustrated with a few things. I consistently have issues with Carplay connecting to my iPhone when I get in the truck. Two updates ago things seemed to get significantly better and then the last update seemed to make things much worse. I live in the southeast and over the past week the mornings have been cold. I have tried several times to use remote start using the FordPass app and it works maybe 25% of the time. Anyone else having the same issues? Any suggestions?

Ford knows about it. The fix was supposed to come in Q4 of this year, but it was pushed back to Q1 of next year. See attached SSM they sent to dealers about it.

Sync 24127 does improve phone connectivity significantly. It did for me, at least.

Will the planned fix also help with the issues I am having with remote start through the FordPass app?

I doubt it. I see people mention having issue with that, but I guess I'm lucky. I use remote start with the app every single day and it works 99% of the time. The 1% of the time it doesn't work, it works when I try it a second time.

Few things affect the remote start.

I've found that walking through a building with multiple wifi access points can delay or fail to remote start through Ford Pass app. I've learned to just stand where I am when I want to start the truck while at work.

If connected to a home network, the signal strength can affect the use of Ford Pass app. If you're having consistent issues at home, try turning off the wifi on your phone and using just the cell service.

Vehicle parked near a business advertisement marquee. Wifi interference from those are atrocious.

If you and the vehicle are out in the open, free of interference and connected to a strong cellular network and you're having issues. It could be the app itself or you could have a low battery in the truck.

If you are in an area with weak cellular service or lots of wifi interference, you will experience issues.
