Default Front camera washer

Is it possible to turn off the front camera washer. I ended up breaking the little plastic cap off that covers the nozzle. I would just glue the cap in place but if the nozzle tries to operate it will probably pop that cap off. I don't care about the front camera cleaner anyway. Any suggestions?

Or how difficult is it to fix it properly? Would I need the whole motor assembly and have to take the grill and louvers off?

I didn't know we had a front camera washer? I was today years old when I learned we had a front camera washer and how to use it. I just went out to the truck and tried it and it works, Cool!!!

So I think this is the part number that broke. ML3Z-17C526-A. Anyone know how to install it?

Clamp off the washer hose? It’s probably activated by pressure in that line.

Just looked at my '21 XLT, I have a blank cover over that spot, no washer. Would be nice to have as I depend on that view to tell if I have backed into my garage far enough for the door to clear (looking for the break in the cement between the garage floor and the driveway). When it is dirty, I need to get out and check.

MIne is a XLT as well, I figured all of the trucks with the front camera have a washer? Are you sure it's just a cover? If you turn on the front camera then activate the windshield washer you can see if it does anything. If it has it you will be able to see the nozzle come out and spray the camera.

Call me when they figure out how to do this for the rear cam 😜. I’ve rarely used the front cam washer but appreciate the reminder that this option is there for me to take advantage of using
more often

Have someone activate the washer while you're up front. Grab the mechanism, and see if you can reattach the cover. On the Mach-E it simply snaps back in, may be the same.
