I asked Roush the same thing, they also confirmed they do not come adjusted for the gen14 trucks. They also confirmed it's absolutely necessary to lower them for proper suspension travel and that leaving it in the position received will limit the stroke of the components resulting in a ride deemed unacceptable (their exact words). I had my dealer lower them 5/8" before install. After install my truck still has just under 1" of rake.

you say “it has just under 1” of rake” it looks like a bit more than 1” however. Maybe it’s how you parked. Do you have any other shots on level ground from different angles?

My driveway has a slight slope to it, but it's near level. I measured just under 1" of rake (measuring from ground to top of wheel well) just after install, on fairly level ground.
Anyone have measurements on fox 2.0 with max tow package? Is there still quite a bit of rake? I have the shocks but no truck yet. Supposed to be built this Friday.

Thanks, looks pretty god. I have a set of Bilstein 8112s that are going on this Wednesday. They come with exactly 5/8" of thread showing, so I guess I should just take all the preload out of them to reduce the collar 5/8" as per what Roush is indicating and what you did. I will post results when done.
I sure hope I do not need to add preload to get to 2" of lift as the collar is at the bottom and adjusting them once installed with be a Mother F&*#$.
New to this forum but just installed the Fox 2.0's on my son's 2021 F-150. I did not lower the collar from the initial setting (did not see the note). We now have a 3/4 to 1 inch drop in the front. The truck looks great and rides great. I called Roush to inquire "specifically" why the shock collar needed to be lowered. The answer I received was that it would eliminate reverse rake and provide a better quality ride. I have seen zero evidence that it would put strain on anything or cause premature wear on any part (lifting any truck does put more strain on axles, CV's etc).
If anyone here knows of a reason other than rake/ride to lower the collar please reply. I would hate to think that a 1/2 to 1" difference in height on a 4WD would be a critical issue. Thank you.

So how much lift did you get on your truck leaving the collars set to where they came? What cab and engine size do you have?
