Default Forscan Question

I am thinking about larger tires on my 24 STX 2.7 and called and asked the stealership on what they charge to change the tire size 229 bucks! I would say forscan is much cheaper but my question is can I get someone local with the forscan and adapter to do it for me for a case of beer or is it truck specific?

It really is not hard at all. All you have to do is get the diameter the tire (which you have to find it in millimeters) for a starting point and enter it in forscan. You will have to adjust up or down a few times. It really is not hard at all.

Not sure about that. Just make sure its a newer adapter since those are faster.

The VGate VLinker or OBDLink EX are the currently supported cables. The VLinker costs half what the EX cable cost and works just fine.

I used the VLinker back in December on my 2025. Worked as it should have.

I made two changes with forscan and then deleted the program.

Make sure you BACK UP the files before doing anything. That’s the most important tip.

And plug your truck into a battery maintainer so the battery doesn’t die during the process.

Think the guy you spoke to is talking out of their ***....
Cant use FDRS to change tire size at dealer on a 24-26...
& dont think any ford dealer will volentarilly do anything for you using forscan, let alone have it.

Just went through this.

4 dealers in my area & I have freinds that work at all of them, no forscan.

my old shop forman just started dabling in it, but dont think theyre offering a service to change tire size to customers.

guess I could be wrong.

Took me 3 weeks for him to get around to helping me.

one of my questions is if the forscan is for one vehicle or if I had a friend that had it he could use it on mine I cant think of any other reason to use it other than tire size
