How do you set Ford Pass to be alerted when hood or door opens? I can't figure that out in the Ford Pass settings.

I guess I should locate that wire and add some protection or extend and reroute or something. That appears to be the first key to a theft attempt is to disable the horn that Ford conveniently installed with easy access to the wires. Maybe slowing them down there will throw a kink in their procedure , in so many case speed of operation is the key to their theft success, doing anything to slow them down has to help

Respectfully disagree. Future thieves have ready access to exactly how and where to drill/cut to steal our trucks. They are not relying on pics from the F-150 forums to guide them. Security through obscurity is not a reliable mitigation.
Personally, I find the pics informative so I can keep an eye on those areas of my truck.
