Default Fold Down Shifter issue

Was wondering if anybody else was having this or a similar issue with the shifter? I have contacted my dealership and they will take care of it, but just wondering if others have had the same thing.

It sounds like the issue is that you are living on a prayer and the shifter only goes halfway there.

Hi there! Will you send us a message with your VIN and your local Ford dealer? I can look into things on my end.

A few people had shifter issues. They are simply glorified switches nowadays. Its under warranty. Hopefully dealer will order a replacement.

I keep mine up, it's one of the most worthless features, still have no idea why Ford made a huge deal over this!

We all knew this was going to have problems.

It’s cute, and the flat workspace is awesome… but it’s a bit of oddity. Using a $0.50 motor that sounds like a sick garbage disposal doesn’t help, either.

At least it didn’t get stuck folded down…

What's the point if you don't have the flat work surface. I have never had mine down.

Mine has the work surface, only used it a couple of times for the laptop.

Helps a tad when climbing over the console when parking in my garage and I can't open the driver door. Nice to be able to lay the shifter flat in that instance for me.
