Default Few Questions

First post here but not first F150.
I've got a new '21 lariat and have a few questions, it's a lot different than my '16 XLT.

First, heated and cooled seats, are they supposed to rest to off when I turn the truck off? In my '16 when I turn the truck off I had to turn the heated seats back on, which I think is the right way. I had someone ride with me and they turn the heated seats on but I didn't realize it until two days later when I saw they were still on.

Second, is there a way to keep the recycled air on after I restart? I was able to do this with my '16 which is nice so I don't have to smell outside odor when I'm driving.
Thanks

Have you checked the manual? I downloaded the manual to my computer and found it easier to read than the one "in-vehicle". Agree, the changes from my 2018 to 2021 are big. I am still learning all the differences.

Searching the manual is your quickest option

https://www.fordservicecontent.com/F...US_10_2021.pdf

Page 203 says:

"The heated seats may also turn on when you start your vehicle if they were on when you switched your vehicle off."

Page 186 says

"Recirculated air may turn off automatically, or prevent you from switching on in all air flow modes except MAX A/C to reduce the risk of fogging. Recirculation may also turn on and off automatically in various air distribution control combinations to improve heating or cooling efficiency"

You have some control over recirculation but mostly it does what it wants. Have to switch it back on all the time unfortunately, regardless of whether it's in defrost mode.

Yeah I noticed last week too heated seats stay on when I started truck after work. Thought that was odd..... especially since most things you WANT to stay to off resort to on after a restart.

On my 2019 the heated seats stay on. My wife had it on the other day, and then the next day it was still on. Unless I'm crazy which is also possible but I don't think that's a new-new thing
