Hi All,Faced issue when was updating the HVAC module through FDRS it cause the HVAC module to shutoff and its no more functioning.

tried to reconnect to the HVAC but the FDRS and Forscan not able to detect it.

Any idea what can cause this issue since its now the second time issue happening and i am waiting for the replacement parts.

Was that the original HVAC module that the truck was built with? When the update failed, what color was the HVAC module in FDRS?

 

Yes it was the original one and on FDRS its showing purple

 

Purple means it's bricked. Click the HVAC module in FDRS that's purple and it'll bring up a list of all available guided routine for the HVAC. Find the PMI and run that. When FDRS asks if it is the original module, select "no" even if it is the original one.

 

Thanks for the advise and my FDRS was 2 day license and got expired, any other way i can do this diagnostic.

 

No, fdrs is the only way to recover the module.

 

I have tried reset the HVAC PMI but getting the below

 

ried to recover through HVAC PMI but didnt go through , any other advise or i go ahead and replace the HVAC module and do i need to do HVAC PMI and add it.

 

Does it let you clear codes on the HVAC? If so, try that and then the PMI again. If that does not work, message me the VIN so I can poke around and see if I see anything that may help.

 

it doesn't clear the Codes for HVAC i sent the VIN in direct message.
