Default Exhaust question

Found a 2021 with 6200 miles for a really good deal last Friday. Previous owner cut off muffler and resonator. Ford dealership was not going to be able to get replacement exhaust for 4-6 weeks, and I can't listen to that for that long...

Took truck to a local muffler shop and they added a muffler without resonator for $195. Any issue with running without a resonator? Truck sounds fine. Also, dealer gave me $1700 off sales prices because thats what local Ford dealership quoted.

Thanks in advance!

You'll be fine without a resonator, unless you truly want one on there.
A resonator is basically a muffler in regards of how it operates and what it does

As long as you're happy with what it sounds like.... you're fine as stated above...I find these trucks extremely quiet stock. I hated it.

The resonator also improves mileage, but the amount varies from engine to engine. It isn't going to be significant, so as the others said, if you are satisfied with the sound (or lack of), just enjoy your truck!

Thank you all! Previous owner also put leveling kit and 33" tires on it so mileage is crap already! Oh well, I previously owned a Tundra so I'm used to it.
