Default Drop In Bedliner Question

Does anyone know if the Ford drop in liners with the power inverter cutout fit the beds that don’t have a power inverter option ?
Reason I’m asking is I have an opportunity to buy a very nice Ford drop in bed liner kit from a guy who just removed it from a 2022 Ford F-150 he bought last week. He’s not a fan of drop in liners and told me to bring him $50 cash and it’s mine if I want it. The label reads ML3Z-9900038-A and I believe it fits 2021-2023 5’5 bed models.

I would think it would fit as long as the bed dimensions are the same but it's going to have the cutout for the bed outlets. Just know that drop-in bedliners will most likely scratch the paint on the surface of the bed. For $50, I would take him up on that deal.

Had one in the first new truck I ever bought becuase I didn't know any better. Since then, I would never own a drop-in bed liner. Chit slides all around inside. It bends and warps and looks like crap. It scraps up the paint anywhere it touches. And it looks like poo.

For $50, why not? Even if it looks bad, who cares? Its there to do a job, and it does it fine. I had one in my 13. It was good. Stuff slid around, but a bed divider made it a non issue.

The newer bed liners require hardware (plastic body bolts) to hold the sides up unlike the older bed liners that are ridged. The existing owner will probably just pop the tops off when removing them. They do sell a kit that includes those body bolts or you could probably just go to an automotive store and purchase similar ones that will work. Still cheaper than purchasing new. And you will probably want to purchase the tail gate cover if the owner doesn't include it, Part number ML3Z-9900038-C. Looks to be out of stock from Ford.

Welpppp, couldn’t pass on it for $50 so I picked it up this morning with the tailgate cover & brought it home. It was a very easy install that took less than an hour including running the 2 drain lines & reinstalling my tonneau cover. The fit is great, no loose areas or buckling and it does lock into place with the plastic push in plugs. I’m not concerned with the little paint rub of any under the cover.

Thanks for the responses folks.

Why not? See all the reasons I posted in the message just before you. It's not rocket science. Drop-in liners aren't worth $50 even if they were brand new.

@Docs-F-150-SuperCrew - You might want to look into getting a Bedrug mat (just the bottom, not the full one). It will keep crap from sliding around that plastic liner. Be sure to get the one made for those with a drop-in liner, not the one for those without the drop-in liner. They also have one that includes the part that covers the floor and just the tailgate, but I don't think that one is offered for those with a drop-in liner.

Not sure those work with a drop-in bed liner.
