Default Drivers side window noise

Well I just got back from a 5000 mile drive from TN to CA and back. While on I10 heading west we had a slight head wind. The upper rear corner of the drives window would vibrate, I put a little pressure on it with my fingers and it stopped. As soon as I removed my fingers it started again. I stuffed a piece of paper towel in it for awhile to stop it, I forgot it was there when I rolled down the window.

If the wind is more from the passenger side it does not vibrate. Any idea of what I should be looking for, or how to show my dealer the issue?

I just bought a new-to-me 2023 F150 Platinum. 4K miles. It has the same problem. From 60-80mph it sounds like it’s flapping. I see nothing obvious. SLIGHTLY fidgeting with the driver’s side button opens the window a millimeter and it helps. BUT it isn’t normal so it will be going in for repair.

There are so many rattles and squeaks in this truck, mostly coming from the door panels and windows. I’ve had mine into the dealer for an entire day now twice and they still haven’t fixed the problem. On mine, it only does it when the temperature is 85 degrees and up. Since it’s fall/winter, it’s not currently rattling. So come next summer I’ll have to take it back in again. I took video of the rattle and showed the service techs too and it’s still not fixed. It’s so frustrating.

I have the same exact problem on the Driver's Door of my 2023. Mine is always worse after the window has gone back to the closed position. I am wondering if it has something to do with how the wind hits the door on a windy day and the door seal may be defective. I have looked at the door seal and can't find anything wrong with it. I would bet if I took it to the dealer he would come back saying "Cannot Duplicate noise". My lariat has more dash rattles than any previous Ford I have owned.

I was going to take my service advisor for a ride and let him hear it for himself. I know a paper towel stuffed in the corner makes it stop. I was thinking of stuffing one on the outside to see it helps as well. Going to be windy tomorrow so it might be a good day for a ride.

So I took my truck in for service. The Tech took it for a ride, came back and said yup that is noisy. He ordered a new window seal. It came in yesterday, so I have an appointment Tuesday to get it replaced. I will update this thread.

Drivers side window noise and the rattling sunroof are my biggest issues with my truck. Still love it though. Hopefully, that new seal fixes your issue Mlarv. make sure you let us know how it goes.

I put some silicon spray on all my door seals and it seems to have helped some of the door noise on mine. I know you say you have more of a window issue but give it a try?

I use Sil-Glyde on all my seals. I don't have a moon roof anymore, but even on its seals. I had a 2014 Jeep Wrangler and used this on it to keep it from leaking. Thanks
