1) No, FORSCAN cannot change what mode the Truck defaults to.
2) Normal is selected because that is the Mode that the vehicle was EPA certified with...Atleast the 21+ trucks ask if you want to stay.

PS - Slippery mode DOES not engage the locker by default.

that makes sense then why those who use eco daily are getting better MPGs than the window sticker.

I don't think the Eco mode helps with my 5.0. I drive 108 miles on the hwy daily. I did one week using Eco everyday and one week without. I got my best mileage without using it.

Would be that hard of a built software wise. Would then suite all.
Yes, I agree that adding a button in the Driver Assist menus to "Remember Last Drive Mode" would be best. If it is on, it returns to the last used setting. If the selection is off, it defaults to Normal as it does today. We know it has the memory of the last used setting as it asks if you want to revert to that mode, but the message pops up quickly and I never seem to be quick enough to select OK since I am buckling my seatbelt and getting my phone onto the charge pad, etc... Instead of popping up the "Resume Drive Mode - OK" window, set it based on that new "Remember Last Drive Mode" selection. I like to use Eco mode for most driving, but I am usually well into the drive before I remember that I need to switch it back on. Same with Tow/Haul when I use it.

Can I live without it... ya. But with all of the features they add for driver comfort and convenience, I would think this small addition would give all of their drivers the flexibility to customize their driving experience and seemingly satisfy everyone, especially given what I think would be little coding effort to do so since the logic is already there. Alternately, maybe change the popup window to "Revert To Normal Mode - OK" and if not selected, it keeps the last mode....

I just use normal and tow I control everything else with my foot into the gas pedal. If I want eco or it’s slick I drive easy if I want sport I stomp it. There is more technology and computing power than the Apollo moon lander in these pickup trucks nowadays. I swear 😂

My Apple Watch has more raw computing power than an Apollo capsule...you need to shoot way higher than that!

What people are getting and what mode the rating was certified in is pointless point.

There are people who never get the rated, and those that exceed it. GREAT. The mode it was certified in, and the test cycles done in is all that matters.
