Default drains in bed?

I am going to putting in a tonneau and will need to route drain lines. Mine truck came with the Ford slide in bed liner and I am assuming that there are drains somewhere near the front, perhaps behind the pop covers on the bed liner. I don't see one, but there appears to be a dark spot that might be a plug. Am I getting warm? If it is a plug, I presume the idea would be to make a hole in it for the drain pipe to go through.

Thanks in advance!

The little oval plastic covers in the front corners of the bed. You can cut them to route the drain hoses then seal with a bit of black or clear RTV.

You don’t have to use the oval plastic plugs. There are holes in the bed. They are located toward the front, on both sides. Look toward the top of the bed and you will see them. If you need me to take a picture to show you, I can. I used the same holes on my 2017 to run the drain lines.

Look for a tonneau without the drain lines.

Besides DiamondBack what others don’t require drain lines?

I've never had a tonneau cover on any of my trucks before, but I'm thinking about getting one for this one. Why do you need drain lines? Wouldn't water either shed off the cover itself, or if it gets into the bed just drain like normal?

The Extang Encore has rails that catch water coming into the bed, hence the drains. I have yet to hear of a tonneau that makes a perfect seal. I want this particular one as it will unlock at the front as well as the back which allows access to the front of the bed where I keep a tool box that fits under the cover.
